Estimate annual energy, bill savings and payback time for any rotor diameter and average wind speed. The numbers update as you type — nothing to install, no sign-up.
Indicative only — real output depends on the wind distribution of your site, tower height, turbulence and icing. Send us the coordinates and we will model it properly.
Get a modelled yieldRated power shown by the calculator is a physical estimate for the rotor diameter you entered. Our catalogue models are rated at their design wind speed; use the model list below for real figures.
Instantaneous power in the wind follows the cube law: P = ½ × ρ × A × v³ × Cp, where ρ is air density (1.225 kg/m³ at sea level), A is the swept area of the rotor and Cp is the power coefficient. A well-designed small turbine reaches 0.35–0.42 at its design tip-speed ratio; the gearless permanent-magnet machines we build hold that band across a wide wind range.
Annual energy is not simply rated power × 8,760 hours. We integrate the power curve against a Rayleigh wind distribution (Weibull with k = 2) for the mean wind speed you enter, cut in at 2.5 m/s and stop at 25 m/s. That is why the capacity factor for a good site sits between 20 % and 35 %, not 100 %.
Payback is the installed cost divided by the annual bill saving. It ignores inflation, subsidies and financing, so treat it as a first screen rather than a business case.
Send the site location and the load you need to power. You get a sized model, a price and a lead time — usually within one working day.
