Vertical axis wind turbine · 20 kW class
The first H-rotor size that carries a real load rather than a battery bank. 48 m² of swept area, 45 dB(A) at 10 m fence, and a generator you can service standing on the ground.
The GH-H20K is a 6 m diameter, 8 m tall H-rotor — 48 m² of swept area — on a 12, 15 or 18 m free-standing tower. Five aluminium-alloy blades, three layers of inner blades for starting torque, a disc-type coreless permanent-magnet generator at the base of the shaft. Cut-in 2.2 m/s, rated wind 12 m/s, survival 45 m/s, IP55 from -50 °C to +60 °C.
At a 5.5 m/s mean it delivers around 30,000 kWh a year, which is a lodge, a small campus or a 15-house village cluster. The reason to choose it over a 20 kW horizontal axis machine is not output — the H-rotor gives up 20–30 % of that — it is that the generator, brake and slip-ring-free shaft all sit at ground level, and the machine stays quiet and productive when the wind shifts 90° between gusts.

Price depends on tower height, controller and battery bank — ask for a quote with your site details.
Five blades with three inner blade layers. Low tip speed keeps noise at 45 dB and blade erosion low in sand and salt spray.
No nacelle work at 15 m. All electrical connections, the brake and the controller are reachable from a standing position — the maintenance cost difference over ten years is larger than the price difference.
Wind from any quarter produces torque. There is no yaw drive to seize in a coastal site and no tail vane to fatigue.
Rated for gusty coasts and ridges. Not a typhoon machine — if your site sees 55 m/s, specify the GH-D series instead.
Runs a 5–8 kW baseload through the night with a 30 kWh battery, on sites where a diesel generator is the only alternative and fuel delivery is the real cost.
Three units plus 20 kW of PV and a 60 kWh bank make a stable island grid for 15–20 households.
Two or three H-rotors in a row, feeding a 48 V DC bus, avoid the single-point failure of one larger machine.
